President Donald Trump’s gold-plated smartphone was the talk of the town on Monday. The Trump organization announced a new business endeavor called Trump Mobile for consumers who are tired of paying predatory rates for phone service.
Eric Trump announced the new gold-plated Trump T1 Phone that retails for $499. But any unlocked phone will work on the service that taps into the same existing networks at AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon.
Trump’s Mobile phone service features a monthly mobile plan priced at an affordable $47.45 a month. The monthly rate is a reference to Trump, who is the 45th and 47th U.S. president.

The Trump Mobile website said the phone will be “built in the United States for customers who expect the best from their mobile carrier.”
However, experts say Trump’s smartphone will likely be made in China and will run Google’s Android operating system.
Experts scoffed at the claims that the phone has new technology and is being made in the United States by American workers.
“There is no way the phone was designed from scratch and there is no way it is going to be assembled in the U.S. or completely manufactured in the U.S.,” Francisco Jeronimo, vice president at International Data Corporation, told CNBC on Tuesday. “That is completely impossible.”
“Despite being advertised as an American-made phone, it is likely that this device will be initially produced by a Chinese ODM,” Blake Przesmicki, an analyst at Counterpoint Research said in a note on Monday.
Jeff Fieldhack, research director at Counterpoint Research added that “the U.S. does not have local manufacturing capabilities readily available.”
Still, the new Trump Mobile phone created a huge buzz on Monday.
Several Sandrarose.com readers expressed an interest in owning a gold Trump Mobile phone.
The Trump Phone is available for preorder now with a $100 deposit.
