A new video released by Turning Point USA’s Frontlines team is drawing attention online after asking European visitors one simple question during America’s 250th birthday celebrations: “What’s your favorite part about the United States?”
The interviews, conducted with international visitors in the U.S. for the FIFA World Cup, produced a series of overwhelmingly positive responses that focused on America’s hospitality, food, safety and even one surprisingly consistent theme: air conditioning.
“Oh yes! 100%! We love air conditioning!” the tourists said after being asked whether Europeans had been enjoying American air conditioning.
Others focused on the country’s size and scenery.
“From where I live, it’s all green. You’ve got a hillside, and all this is like skyscrapers, but it’s just amazing because it just goes for miles and miles and miles,” another visitor said.
“Amazing. I’ve been here several times now. Love it. Great city, great culture, very friendly. The Guinness is good. Drinks are good, yeah,” another added.
Several visitors emphasized how welcoming Americans had been throughout their trips.

“Oh, it’s been great. I mean, really great,” one traveler said after spending three days in the country. “Everyone’s been so welcoming, and the atmosphere has been brilliant, especially between all the countries. Everyone being here, everyone’s been so friendly. It’s been great. It’s very safe.”
A visitor from the United Kingdom said the friendliness of Americans stood out immediately.
“Everyone’s very friendly. A lot more friendly than British people,” another tourist joked.
Food also became a recurring topic throughout the interviews, with several visitors marveling at the sheer size of American portions.
One tourist said, “We’ve experienced very big portions when it comes to food, that’s for sure. We’ve not gone hungry for the whole time we’ve been here, that’s for sure,” another added. “The portion sizes, huge slices of pizza!”
Perhaps the most reflective answer came from one European who said he had already settled on what he appreciates most about America after spending significant time in the country.
“I think it’s the people. I mean, it has to be,” he said. “it truly is. I mean, the social dynamics that you have here with random people, we don’t really have in Europe. And as an extroverted guy, I prefer it. And that’s why I studied here. That’s why I love this country.”
The interviews were conducted as the United States welcomed fans from around the world during the FIFA World Cup while also celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary.
The trend has fit neatly with viral social media clips showing Europeans reacting positively to everyday American comforts, from free refills and large portions to big highways, customer service and convenience stores. For many visitors, the World Cup has doubled as a chance to see a side of America they did not expect.
