Angelina Jolie is reportedly preparing to sell her historic Los Angeles estate and move overseas once her youngest children reach adulthood.
A source close to the 50-year-old actress told PEOPLE that Jolie “never wanted to live in L.A. full time” and had only done so because of her custody arrangement with ex-husband Brad Pitt. Now that their divorce settlement is finalized and her twins, Knox and Vivienne, are nearing 18, Jolie is said to be making plans for her next chapter.

“She plans to relocate as soon as Knox and Viv turn 18 next year,” the source revealed. Jolie purchased the 1913 home—once owned by legendary director Cecil B. DeMille—in 2017.
In past interviews, Jolie has been open about her desire to move away from Los Angeles. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, she explained, “I am here because I have to be here from a divorce, but as soon as they’re 18, I’ll be able to leave. When you have a big family, you want them to have privacy, peace, safety. I have a house now to raise my children, but sometimes this place can be … that humanity that I found across the world is not what I grew up with here.”
Knox and Vivienne will turn 18 in July 2026, potentially paving the way for Jolie to make her long-planned move abroad.
