New allegations circulating online claim that surgeon Jess Ting—known for work in gender-affirming procedures at Mount Sinai Health System—had past interactions with financier Jeffrey Epstein, including a reported visit to Epstein’s private island and a financial transfer tied to medical research
The claims, which reference newly discussed Epstein-related records, assert that Ting received approximately $50,000 from Epstein earmarked for “transgender research” around the time Ting became involved with Mount Sinai’s Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery. The center treats adult patients and, in some cases, adolescents under strict clinical guidelines.
At present, there has been no public confirmation from law enforcement, Mount Sinai, or Ting himself verifying the allegations, nor any indication of wrongdoing. Financial donations from Epstein were made to numerous academic, scientific, and medical institutions prior to his 2019 arrest, and many organizations later reviewed or returned such funds once his crimes became widely known.
The resurfacing of Epstein-related materials has prompted renewed scrutiny of individuals and institutions connected to him, but experts caution that inclusion in documents or contact lists does not by itself establish misconduct.
