A heated moment unfolded in Washington, D.C., during an anti-government protest where demonstrators gathered under the slogan “Remove the Regime.” One anifa protester drew widespread attention after dragging a dead effigy of President Donald Trump through the street while giving an interview that quickly turned hostile.
Video from the scene shows the protester pulling the effigy and making a series of inflammatory remarks when confronted about the graphic display. When asked whether she supported political violence, the protester responded:
“The country was founded on political violence. I don’t want to talk to you anymore.”
His comments, paired with the violent imagery of the effigy, sparked criticism online — especially given recent calls from Democratic leaders urging Republicans and Trump supporters to “lower the temperature” and de-escalate political tensions.
Observers noted the contradiction between those public appeals and the actions seen at the demonstration, arguing that such displays only inflame the national divide.
