Federal investigators say a glove recovered near the home of missing 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie may match one worn by the unidentified individual seen in surveillance footage from her front porch.
According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, search teams collected nearly 16 gloves in the area during the investigation. Officials noted that most appeared to have been dropped by volunteers or search personnel, but one glove is believed to resemble those worn by the masked individual captured on doorbell video.
Authorities said DNA testing is underway, with preliminary results expected within about 24 hours. Investigators hope the analysis could help determine whether the item is connected to the suspect or the broader case.
Guthrie has not been seen or heard from since February 1, and officials continue to treat the case as a high-priority investigation. Law enforcement has urged anyone with information, surveillance footage, or tips to come forward as the search continues.
