Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX) is urging Congress to open a formal investigation into Rep. Ilhan Omar, citing claims that she may have had insider awareness of large-scale fraud uncovered in Minnesota. Hunt raised the issue during recent remarks, arguing that questions surrounding Omar’s alleged connections and past controversies warrant full transparency.
“There NEEDS to be an investigation,” Hunt said. “As this information continues to rise to the forefront, it needs to be addressed — especially with someone who is a member of Congress who hates this country.”
Hunt also referenced longstanding allegations involving Omar’s family history, including claims about a past marriage, saying all unresolved matters should be brought into the open.
“Investigate and release it ALL,” he insisted.
No official inquiry has yet been launched, and Rep. Omar has previously denied similar allegations. Congressional leaders have not issued an immediate response to Hunt’s call.
