President Trump said he would be “proud” to order strikes in Mexico and Colombia against drug lords, claiming the U.S. has precise intelligence on their locations. During remarks Tuesday, he stated, “We know the addresses of every drug lord… We know their front door.”
Trump’s comments came as he defended a recent wave of U.S. military strikes on vessels reportedly linked to drug trafficking. He framed the cartel war as equivalent to a war on terror, saying drug traffickers are “killing our people”.
On Colombia specifically, Trump floated the possibility of hitting cocaine labs. “Would I knock out those factories? I would be proud to do it personally … because we’re going to save millions of lives,” he said.
