West Virginia National Guardsman Andrew Wolfe is reportedly showing notable signs of improvement after being shot in Washington, D.C., during an attack involving an Afghan national.
According to updates provided by Attorney General Pam Bondi, Wolfe is now able to open both eyes and has no blood clots, a development she described as “a miracle.”
Bondi stated she was present in the hospital room during part of Wolfe’s recovery and emphasized that, while his condition remains serious, the progress has given renewed hope to his family and supporters.
“We are all continuing to pray,” Bondi said. “He’s got a long road ahead of him. But we pray he makes a full recovery.”
Federal and state officials continue to monitor Wolfe’s condition as the investigation into the shooting remains active.
