Trump Files $10 Billion Lawsuit Against WSJ Over Epstein Allegations

President Donald Trump is pursuing a $10 billion defamation lawsuit against The Wall Street Journal, accusing the publication of spreading false and damaging claims about him in a recent report related to Jeffrey Epstein.

The lawsuit, filed this week, stems from an article the Wall Street Journal published that Trump’s legal team says falsely implicated him in Epstein-related matters without evidence. According to the legal filing, the report contained “reckless falsehoods” and “malicious intent,” aimed at harming Trump’s reputation and political career.

“This is nothing short of a coordinated smear campaign,” Trump’s spokesperson said in a statement. “The president has never had any improper involvement with Epstein, and these false narratives have no place in journalism.”

The article in question reportedly referenced Epstein’s private calendar and contacts, drawing speculative links between Trump and Epstein. However, Trump’s legal team argues that these references were misleading and lacked any factual basis suggesting wrongdoing.

The lawsuit marks yet another high-profile legal battle between Trump and mainstream media organizations, as the president continues to push back against what he describes as politically motivated attacks. Trump’s attorneys are seeking both monetary damages and a full retraction from the Wall Street Journal.

As of now, The Wall Street Journal has not publicly responded to the lawsuit.

The $10 billion figure is one of the largest defamation claims Trump has made against a media outlet to date.
