American Eagle has a new celebrity face, and he’s not talking about his jeans. On Wednesday, the brand announced that it’s putting out a clothing line with Travis Kelce, fresh off his engagement hard launch with Taylor Swift. That’s one way to distract people from a denim culture war.
The new collection, AE x Tru Kolors by Travis Kelce, is a collaboration between American Eagle and Kelce’s preexisting clothing line, Tru Kolors, which he launched back in 2020. It will be released in two drops (one on Wednesday and another on September 24) and includes an unsurprising array of sporty-looking prepwear, including varsity jackets, vintage-inspired tees, cricket sweaters, rugby polos, and cashmere sets.
American Eagle announced the collection with a photo shoot of Kelce and a bunch of other star athletes, including Olympic gymnast Suni Lee and UConn basketball champ Azzi Fudd, decked out in the line’s offerings. Can you guess which one of them is wearing a matching set?
