An Afghan national identified as Mohammad Alokozay has been arrested after allegedly plotting a car bomb attack in either Fort Worth or Dallas, Texas. According to information shared by officials familiar with the case, Alokozay had expressed intentions to “kill the infidels” and sought to carry out a mass-casualty attack targeting Americans.
Alokozay reportedly entered the United States under the Biden administration. Authorities say he had been making statements about using an explosive device to inflict maximum harm, prompting federal and local agencies to intervene before any attack could be carried out.
Law enforcement officials moved in after monitoring his communications and behavior, ultimately taking him into custody before he was able to execute the plot. He is now facing federal charges connected to terrorism and attempted violence against U.S. citizens.
Investigators have not yet released additional details about the timeline of the alleged plot or whether other individuals were involved. The case remains active as federal agencies continue their review.
Authorities say the swift arrest prevented what could have been a devastating attack on a major Texas city
