Rep. Tom Emmer unleashed a blistering attack on Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, accusing him of not just allowing fraud to happen under his watch — but being a fraud himself.
“Tim Walz is a FRAUD,” Emmer said bluntly. “It’s not just that he allowed fraud to happen. HE IS A FRAUD.”
Emmer pointed to estimates showing as much as $9 BILLION in taxpayer money may have been lost to fraud during Walz’s tenure, with zero meaningful prosecutions to show for it. According to Emmer, despite mounting evidence and repeated warnings, Walz’s administration failed to hold anyone accountable.
The remarks come as President Donald Trump continues to push a national message of law, order, and accountability, contrasting sharply with what Republicans describe as Democrat-led states turning a blind eye to corruption, waste, and abuse.
As scrutiny grows and more details emerge, Republicans insist this is no longer just a policy failure — it’s a full-blown scandal that demands answers.
“This isn’t incompetence,” Emmer warned. “This is deliberate negligence — and Minnesotans are paying the price.”
