President Donald Trump has announced that the United States will begin conducting land strikes against powerful drug cartels, signaling a dramatic escalation in the fight to secure America’s border and protect its citizens.
Speaking forcefully, Trump said the cartels are effectively running Mexico and fueling a deadly crisis that spills directly into the United States.
“We are gonna start now hitting land, with regard to the cartels. The cartels are running Mexico,” Trump stated.
The president described the situation south of the border as tragic, blaming cartel violence and corruption for widespread instability and mass death.
“It’s very, very sad to watch and see what’s happened to that country, but the cartels are running and they’re killing 300,000 people in our country every single year,” he said.
Trump emphasized that his administration will no longer tolerate foreign criminal organizations poisoning American communities with drugs, violence, and human trafficking. The announcement reinforces his long-standing America First agenda focused on border security, law and order, and confronting transnational crime head-on.
