Bob Tebow and his wife, Pam, met as University of Florida students and married in 1971. According to Bob Tebow’s website, the couple moved their young family to Mindanao, Philippines, in 1985 after what the site describes as answering God’s call and pursuing a mission to share the Gospel widely.
Tim Tebow was born in the Philippines in 1987 and has often spoken publicly about his family’s faith and evangelism.
The family later returned to the Jacksonville area and homeschooled their children.
Tim Tebow became a standout quarterback at Nease High School in Ponte Vedra Beach before enrolling at Florida, where he helped lead the Gators to national championships in 2006 and 2008 and won the Heisman Trophy.
