Under California MandateDisneyland is retiring the gas engines on its classic Autopia ride in early 2027 to comply with an agreement with the California Air Resources Board. The park will replace the long-running miniature cars with a new fleet of electric vehicles currently in development by Imagineers.The move ends decades of Honda-sponsored, gas-powered fun on the Tomorrowland attraction. While testing continues, no firm date has been set for the electric fleet debut. The change reflects ongoing state pressure to phase out combustion engines even in theme park experiences.
