Democrats just proved once again that competence isn’t their strong suit. In a sloppy appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court after Virginia’s highest court smacked down their rigged redistricting power grab, their legal team couldn’t even spell “Virginia” or “Senator” correctly. “Virgnia” and “Sentator” – straight from the party that lectures everyone else about being the adults in the room. This isn’t some minor screw-up. Virginia’s Supreme Court ruled 4-3 on May 8, 2026, that the Democrat-backed amendment violated procedural rules, killing their scheme to turn the state’s congressional map into a grotesque 10-1 Democrat advantage. Instead, the existing 6-5 split stays in place, forcing them to actually compete instead of gerrymandering their way to permanent dominance ahead of the midterms. Now they’re begging for a stay and rushing to federal courts in a Hail Mary play. It’s a transparent admission that they can’t win fair elections, so they resort to lawfare, technicalities, and now basic spelling errors in official documents. These are the same people who spent years screaming about “threats to democracy” while trying to rewrite election maps to lock in supermajorities.
