Spencer Pratt Reveals His Political Role Model, Liberals Melt Down

Spencer Pratt is back in the spotlight, and this time it’s politics.

The reality TV alum turned Los Angeles mayoral candidate raised eyebrows during a Thursday interview on CNN’s The Story Is with Elex Michaelson when he was asked a simple question: Does he have a political role model?

Pratt didn’t hesitate.

Jesus Christ. He was a politician.

Michaelson appeared caught off guard, cracking a smile before quickly pivoting to a follow-up: Which modern politician does Pratt look up to?

You’ll have to watch the clip for Pratt’s answer. Here’s a hint — it’s not Jesus.

Pratt is challenging incumbent Mayor Karen Bass, with Election Day set for June 2.

President Donald Trump says he’d like to see Spencer Pratt pull off an upset in Los Angeles, largely because he’s been told the reality star-turned-candidate is a loyal Trump supporter.

Trump was asked about Pratt at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland on Wednesday morning, where the president compared the moment to his own unconventional leap from reality TV into politics. Trump said he doesn’t personally know Pratt, but added that he’s heard Pratt is “MAGA” and suggested that’s reason enough for him to root for the guy.

In short: If Pratt is in Trump’s corner, Trump says he’s in Pratt’s.

Pratt, for his part, didn’t exactly rush to hug the endorsement,  especially in a city where Republicans are usually treated like a four-letter word at the ballot box. He told TMZ he’s not running to collect celebrity shoutouts, saying, Everybody wants me to succeed because L.A. is the most important city in the country. He added, The only support I need is from moms that wanna feel safe in Los Angeles. I’m laser focused on that.

Donald Trump also acknowledged the obvious hurdle: Winning statewide or citywide in California is an uphill climb for any conservative, and he claimed the state’s election apparatus can’t be trusted. He even tossed out a bizarre line about needing Jesus Christ to come down from Heaven to deal with what he called Democrat dishonesty.

Pratt has been hammering incumbent Mayor Karen Bass and Gov. Gavin Newsom on the campaign trail,  two Democrats who have been frequent targets of Trump’s attacks as well.

And if Pratt does win, the victory won’t just be political. Cameras are expected to follow him through City Hall, with Pratt, Heidi Montag and their kids reportedly set to star in a new docuseries documenting the chaos and the climb.
