Los Angeles — A 42-year-old employee of the PATH nonprofit was arrested by federal authorities after LAPD caught him with enough fentanyl to kill thousands and a pile of methamphetamine during a routine traffic stop near MacArthur Park.Christopher Barret Johnson, driving a BMW, was pulled over May 5 for a suspicious U-turn. Officers found 142 grams of fentanyl, 46 grams of meth, packaging materials, a digital scale, and cash in plain view. He’s now facing federal charges with a mandatory five-year minimum and up to 40 years in prison. This isn’t some random dealer. Johnson worked for PATH, the same outfit locals have slammed for handing out syringes in one of LA’s worst open-air fentanyl markets. While residents beg for real enforcement, these “harm reduction” groups keep enabling the chaos under the guise of compassion.Federal prosecutors are finally cracking down on the scum flooding the streets with Chinese fentanyl poison. But the real scandal is how progressive nonprofits and city leaders turned MacArthur Park into a zombie zone while pretending their policies save lives. They don’t. They destroy them.Time to end the handouts and start locking up the enablers.
