Fox News senior White House correspondent Peter Doocy is about to have an even busier household.
Doocy announced on-air that he and his wife, Fox Business correspondent Hillary Vaughn, are expecting their third child together, expanding their family to five.
The surprise announcement came during a segment focused on young Americans.
“I have some family news,” Doocy told viewers.
“This segment we were just doing, it’s aimed at America’s youngest citizens. I’ve got two at my house, you can see George there on the left and Bridget on the right.
“Well, here is a Fox News alert – another one is on the way!”
“My wife Hillary is pregnant, she is due on my dad’s birthday. So Doocy party of five coming soon, and this little bundle of joy will be here in time for midterm coverage on the Sunday Briefing,” he added.
A graphic accompanying the announcement featured a family photo alongside the message: “Baby Doocy #3 on the way.”
The news quickly drew congratulations from colleagues and viewers. Fox News’ Sunday Briefing later shared the announcement on social media, writing: “Exciting news from the Doocy family! Peter Doocy announced that he and his wife, Hillary, are expecting baby No. 3. George and Bridget are getting a new sibling, and the family is soon becoming a party of five!”
The couple welcomed their son, George, on April 16, 2025. The date carried extra significance because it also marked the fourth wedding anniversary for Doocy and Vaughn.
At the time, Doocy joked: “So thank you, son, for being the reason I’ll never forget to get your mom a card when I’m grabbing a birthday card for you.”
The pair first became parents in 2023 with the birth of their daughter, Bridget.
When George was born, Vaughn revealed she had spent part of Tax Day reporting from Capitol Hill before realizing it was time to head to the hospital.
She said: “Maybe he was tired of hearing me talk about taxes – I don’t blame him.”
Vaughn later reflected on the growth of their family, calling it a blessing.
“Growing our family means giving our kids lifelong best friends and as a new heartbeat fills our home, our hearts are filled with more love than ever before.”
Peter Doocy has become one of the most recognizable faces at Fox News since joining the network in 2009. He gained national attention covering presidential campaigns and now serves as the network’s senior White House correspondent.
His often-testy exchanges with White House officials during press briefings have frequently generated headlines and made him a familiar figure to political news audiences across the country.
With another baby on the way, the Doocy household is preparing for its biggest assignment yet.
