BREAKING: Trump Fires One Of His Most Loyal Advisors

President Donald Trump announced a major shakeup of his White House leadership team Friday, naming longtime adviser Stephen Miller as his next chief of staff while moving Susie Wiles into a new role overseeing his political operation.

The president made the announcement in a Truth Social post Friday morning, confirming that Miller, currently serving as White House deputy chief of staff, will officially take over the position on Monday, November 9.

The move represents one of the most significant personnel changes of Trump’s second term, elevating one of his closest and most influential advisers to the highest-ranking staff position in the White House.

“I am pleased to announce that Mr. Stephen Miller, the current Deputy Chief of Staff of the Trump Administration, and one of my most trusted advisors, will become the Chief of Staff starting Monday, November 9, 2026,” Trump wrote.

“Susie Wiles, who has done an outstanding job, will be moving over to the Trump Political Operation. I want to thank her for her service as Chief of Staff — She has done a great job!” the president added.

Miller’s promotion places a longtime architect of Trump’s immigration agenda in charge of coordinating the administration’s day-to-day White House operations, overseeing senior staff and helping advance the president’s legislative and policy priorities.

The 41-year-old adviser has been a central figure in Trump’s political movement since the president’s first successful White House campaign in 2016. He previously served as a senior adviser and speechwriter during Trump’s first term, becoming one of the administration’s most recognizable advocates for tougher immigration enforcement.

Since returning to the White House in January 2025, Miller has wielded considerable influence over the administration’s domestic policy agenda, particularly its efforts to strengthen border security, expand deportation operations and reshape federal immigration enforcement.

His elevation to chief of staff gives him an even broader role in directing the president’s agenda at a pivotal moment for Republicans.

Wiles, meanwhile, is departing the chief of staff position after nearly two years overseeing White House operations. A veteran Republican strategist, she played a central role in Trump’s successful 2024 presidential campaign before becoming the first woman to serve as White House chief of staff.

Her reassignment to Trump’s political operation suggests the president intends to keep one of his most trusted political strategists closely involved as Republicans regroup following Tuesday’s midterm elections.

The leadership change comes just days after Democrats secured major victories in the 2026 midterms, setting the stage for a divided government during the final two years of Trump’s presidency.

With Democrats preparing to take control of Congress in January, Miller will face the challenge of advancing the administration’s priorities while navigating an increasingly difficult legislative environment.

Trump did not provide additional details about Wiles’ responsibilities in her new position or explain what prompted the leadership transition.

Miller is scheduled to assume his new role Monday, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the Trump White House as the administration prepares for the second half of the president’s term.
