Fox News Host Melts Down, Attacks Trump

Fox News host Mark Levin unloaded on President Donald Trump and his administration over the U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding, accusing them of “trashing,” “smearing” and “bullying” Israel as the White House pushes a 60-day diplomatic window with Tehran.

Levin, one of the loudest pro-Israel voices in conservative media, tore into the administration during a fiery Saturday monologue that lasted more than 17 minutes.

The blowup came after Vice President JD Vance criticized Israeli officials who attacked the MOU Trump signed with Iran, which is meant to set up negotiations for a final peace deal.

Levin argued the administration is wrongly pressuring Israel while softening its tone toward Iran’s regime.

“I want to say to people in and out of the administration: stop trashing, smearing, bullying the little state of Israel. Stop cozying up to and telling us that the enemy regime in Iran is now more rational, more moderate, and a regime that we can deal with,” Levin demanded. “When just a few months ago they slaughtered 50,000 people, they’re still hanging young people today and, if they had a nuclear missile today, they’d fire it into our country as sure as I’m alive.”

Levin said Israel will not be pressured into giving up control over its own security decisions.

“I don’t know what’s going on, but if people think they can bully a little country, Israel — a people that have existed 4,000 years through the Babylonians and the Persians, through the Romans and the Third Reich — into surrendering their defense and their decision on how to secure their country, they get another thing coming,” Levin continued. “I think it’s outrageous.”

The Fox News host also took aim at Trump on X, including over a $400 million Boeing 747 gifted by Qatar and converted for use in support of the Air Force One presidential airlift mission.

“If it’s legal and other countries do it so be it. Do you think wealthy countries should be able to lavish gifts on our government?” Levin posted on X.

Levin also criticized Trump’s handling of Israel’s response to Hezbollah attacks from Lebanon, arguing the MOU offers no serious enforcement mechanism while Israel gets scolded for defending itself.

“Item #1 in the MOU provides there’s an immediate and permanent end to the war and that includes Hezbollah in Lebanon. Iran is Hezbollah,” Levin posted. “What’s the enforcement mechanism? Nothing. Israel defends itself after constant attacks from Hezbollah and is admonished for it. Its interests are not aligned with ours, we’re told. It’s endangering the peace deal. This is beyond nuts.”

Levin later claimed the administration’s ceasefire posture was tolerating Israeli losses.

“Apparently as long as Israeli soldiers are killed the ceasefire is holding,” Levin claimed in another post Saturday.

Donald Trump responded Sunday on Truth Social by warning Iran that Hezbollah’s attacks must stop or Tehran could face more U.S. strikes.

“Iran must immediately stop their highly paid PROXIES in Lebanon from causing trouble. If they don’t, we’ll hit Iran very hard again, just like we did last week, only harder!!!” Trump posted.

The clash highlights a growing divide among conservatives over Trump’s Iran strategy.

Trump and Vance have defended the administration’s approach as a tough but practical attempt to turn military pressure into a deal that keeps Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.

Levin and other Iran hawks, however, fear the agreement could restrain Israel while giving Tehran and its proxies room to regroup.

The U.S. and Israel launched military operations against Iran on Feb. 28 after talks over the regime’s nuclear ambitions collapsed.

The strikes killed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other top regime leaders on the first day of the campaign.

The New York Times reported April 7 that Trump approved the military action after a February meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, despite doubts from some administration officials, including Vance.

For Levin, the administration’s latest posture toward Israel is not hard-nosed diplomacy.

It is a dangerous shift away from a longtime ally while trusting a regime conservatives have spent years warning cannot be trusted.
