Steve Doocy is making a brief return to the place where millions of Fox News viewers came to know him.
The longtime “Fox & Friends” host is back in Studio M this week, temporarily rejoining Ainsley Earhardt and Brian Kilmeade while Lawrence B. Jones takes time off. The appearance marks Doocy’s first extended stint on the iconic morning-show couch in more than a year after he shifted into his Coast-to-Coast Host role based in Florida.
Doocy, 69, told fans on Facebook that his return to New York is only for a few days.
“I’m back on the couch a couple days filling in for Lawrence. Always a pleasure seeing Ainsley and Brian and the Studio M Crew,” he wrote alongside a photo of the three hosts.
The veteran broadcaster added that he’ll soon be back to traveling the country for his regular assignment.
“I’ll be back to my coast to coast hosting next week, faraway from NYC—but this is a nice chance to drop in on HQ to catch up with my pals over an insanely expensive cup of coffee,” he joked.

Fox News announced in May 2025 that Doocy would step away from his full-time weekday studio duties after nearly three decades on the curvy couch, taking on a new Coast-to-Coast Host role that allows him to report from locations around the country while continuing to appear on “Fox & Friends.”
The move also coincided with a permanent relocation to Florida for Doocy and his wife, Kathy. The couple left their longtime New Jersey home and settled full time in Jupiter, where they had already owned a home for years.
Property records show the Doocys purchased the three-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom Jupiter house for $1 million in 2014, just a month after it hit the market.
Doocy is also the father of Fox News senior White House correspondent Peter Doocy, giving the network one of its best-known father-son duos.
