O’Keefe Media Group released a photo Tuesday that it said showed multiple California ballots inside a Los Angeles County library safe days after polls closed in the state’s primary elections.
The image was reportedly taken Friday inside Stevenson Ranch Library near Santa Clarita, three days after voters went to the polls.
James O’Keefe said the photo was sent to his organization from inside the library and allegedly showed ballots stored in the same safe used by the facility for other items, including cash.

The reported discovery comes as California’s lengthy mail-in ballot count has once again drawn scrutiny from conservatives, who have blasted the state’s election system as slow, murky and ripe for distrust.
Republicans and election integrity activists have long criticized California’s heavy reliance on mail-in ballots, arguing that days of post-election ballot drops leave voters questioning how results can shift well after polls close.
The latest concern centers on Los Angeles County, where the photo allegedly taken inside the library raised fresh questions about ballot handling and chain of custody.
O’Keefe Media Group did not say whether the ballots were ultimately delivered to election officials, only that it hoped they made it to the proper processing centers.

The report landed as all eyes were already on California after a series of delayed results in high-profile races.
On Monday, Spencer Pratt was eliminated from the Los Angeles mayoral primary after Nithya Raman advanced following the latest mail-in ballot drop.
Raman had been in last place after polls closed and even delivered a tearful concession speech, according to the report.
But subsequent mail-in ballot totals favored Raman, allowing her to move ahead of Pratt and stay alive in the race.
The delayed count also played a role in the California governor’s primary.
Republican Steve Hilton, backed by President Donald Trump, won the second of two spots in the governor’s race Monday evening, nearly a week after Election Day.
Decision Desk called the race for Hilton after another mail-in ballot batch favored Democrat Tom Steyer, though it was not enough to push Steyer over the finish line.
Hilton is now set to face Democrat Xavier Becerra, the former Biden administration health and human services secretary.
The alleged ballot discovery at Stevenson Ranch Library adds another flashpoint to California’s already controversial election process.
For critics, the image is more fuel for concerns about how ballots are stored, transported and counted in a state where final results can take days to settle.
