Steve Hilton just nailed Xavier Becerra live on CNN during the California governor primary debate.Hilton called out Becerra’s personal corruption scandal head-on: “It is rich for Javier to talk about following the law when he is mired personally in corruption scandal where his former Chief of Staff Sean McCluskey… the salary wasn’t high enough so what did they do? From Javier’s campaign account to top up salary by funnelling it to Dana Williamson, Gavin Newsom’s former Chief of Staff. So that is paid to this guy’s wife. All of that is illegal. It is against state law.”Hilton didn’t hold back: “When he is Attorney General Javier will be investigated and if necessary prosecuted for these crimes.”Becerra, who had just accused Sheriff Chad Bianco of breaking the law over ballot seizure and chain-of-custody violations, immediately crashed out and deflected: “But here’s what I will say Steve. I hope you speak as ferociously about Donald Trump’s violation of the law every time you’re sitting in the governor’s office.”Classic. Democrats love screaming “criminal” at everyone else until the spotlight turns on their own scandals. Becerra spent the segment lecturing about the law, then ran straight to Trump when his own illegal salary scheme was exposed.California voters are watching. One-party Democrat rule has delivered exactly this kind of swamp behavior for years. Time to clean house.
