‘Storage Wars’ Star Dead At 67

“Storage Wars” fan favorite Darrell “The Gambler” Sheets has died at 67, according to TMZ.

Lake Havasu City police in Arizona told the outlet Sheets “apparently died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.”

Officers responded to a report of a deceased person at Sheets’ home at about 2 a.m. Wednesday, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was transferred to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office, according to TMZ.

Sheets became a familiar face to reality-TV viewers as one of the standout personalities on A&E’s “Storage Wars,” where bidders compete for abandoned storage units. After leaving the show, Sheets moved to Lake Havasu, Arizona, and ran an antique shop called Havasu Show Me Your Junk, TMZ reported.

He also dealt with serious health problems in recent years. In March 2019, Sheets was hospitalized after a heart attack and later needed surgery, according to prior reporting.

A spokesperson for A&E issued a statement to TMZ following the news.

“We are saddened by the passing of a beloved member of our Storage Wars family, Darrell ‘The Gambler’ Sheets. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.”
