VIDEO: Mamdani Viciously Booed Off The Stage At New York Event

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani was met with a brutal reception Tuesday night as a crowd of Staten Island residents drowned him out with boos at a major pro-police community event.

The Democratic socialist mayor appeared at the Midland Beach boardwalk for the NYPD’s 43rd Patrol Borough National Night Out Against Crime, where roughly 3,500 residents and families had gathered to support local police and promote safer neighborhoods.

Mamdani walked onto the stage smiling, but the welcome quickly turned hostile.

Videos posted on social media showed attendees loudly jeering the mayor as he approached the podium. Several people shouted profanities, while others demanded that he leave the stage.

The icy reception forced Mamdani to cut his appearance dramatically short.

Known for lengthy public remarks and carefully staged appearances, the mayor spoke for less than a minute before being ushered away from the podium.

Mamdani briefly wished the crowd a “Happy Night Out Against Crime” as the boos continued around him.

He maintained a wide grin during the uncomfortable appearance before aides moved him off to the side of the stage.

Several Staten Islanders could be seen turning away from Mamdani, giving him thumbs-down gestures and refusing to acknowledge him as he exited.

The embarrassing scene underscored the deep political divide between the far-left mayor and residents of Staten Island, a borough known for its strong support of law enforcement and conservative candidates.

Mamdani has faced growing criticism from police supporters over his political record and his past rhetoric surrounding law enforcement.

His appearance at an event celebrating the NYPD appeared to strike many attendees as particularly tone-deaf.

Despite the hostile response, Mamdani reportedly remained at the event long enough to pose for photographs with a small number of attendees before leaving.

The reception stood in sharp contrast to the upbeat atmosphere usually associated with National Night Out Against Crime.

The annual event is designed to strengthen relationships between police officers and the communities they serve.

The NYPD and city officials hosted more than 70 events across the five boroughs Tuesday as part of a “community-building campaign” aimed at encouraging police-community partnerships and making neighborhoods safer.

Families gathered for food, activities and opportunities to meet local officers, but Mamdani’s appearance quickly became one of the night’s most talked-about moments.

Video of the mayor being shouted down spread rapidly online, with critics pointing to the clip as evidence that Mamdani’s far-left agenda remains deeply unpopular among many working-class New Yorkers.

For Staten Island residents who came to celebrate the police, the message to City Hall was unmistakable: Mamdani was not welcome on their stage.
