Phil Mickelson is reportedly no longer welcome at a San Diego-area golf club he had played at for decades after a female employee accused the six-time major champion of inappropriate conduct.
According to Golf Digest, a female employee at The Farms Golf Club accused Mickelson of making nonconsensual and inappropriate physical contact with her before a round of golf this spring.
The Farms confirmed in a statement to the outlet that Mickelson is no longer a member of the club.
Golf Digest reported that the employee had been identified and verified but declined to participate in the story. Multiple sources, however, provided details about the alleged incident.
Mickelson allegedly approached the female employee at the clubhouse and made inappropriate physical contact with her without consent.
After rejecting the alleged advances, the employee reported the incident to club supervisors once Mickelson returned to the golf course, according to the report.
Club officials reportedly acted quickly, locating Mickelson in the middle of his round and confronting him with the accusation on the course.
He was then told to leave the property and reportedly exited before finishing his round.
“Following a staff member report of member misconduct, the Club provided immediate and ongoing support to the staff member, conducted a thorough independent investigation of the incident and took decisive action. This individual is no longer a member of The Farms Golf Club,” a statement from the club shared to Golf Digest explained in part.
“The Farms conducts thorough reviews of all reported matters according to California Law and takes appropriate action when warranted, consistent with our commitment to integrity, excellence and accountability. To protect the safety and privacy of our staff and members, we are unable to speak further on this matter. We appreciate your understanding.”

The report marks another stunning turn for Mickelson, one of golf’s biggest names and most polarizing figures since his move to LIV Golf.
Mickelson, 55, has played in just one of LIV Golf’s nine completed events this season because of an undisclosed “personal health matter” within his family.
His lone LIV appearance came in late March in South Africa, where he finished tied for 48th.
On April 2, one week before the Masters, Mickelson announced he would not play at Augusta National and said he would be away from competition for “an extended period of time as my family continues to navigate a personal health matter.”
The Farms Golf Club’s decision, if the report is accurate, cuts Mickelson off from a course long tied to his Southern California roots.
For a player whose career has included major championships, massive galleries and years as one of golf’s most recognizable stars, the latest accusation adds a serious off-course controversy at a time when he has already been largely absent from tournament play.
